Who we are
Whiskey Nickel serves up country music the way it was meant to be consumed: straight up, no chaser, and burning with high-octane intent. Bridging the gap between the neon-lit nostalgia of honky-tonk staples and the radio-ready punch of modern country, this is a band that doesn’t just play a setlist—they ignite a room.
At the center of the storm is frontwoman Nicolette Parada, whose vocal delivery walks the razor's edge between soulful storytelling and powerhouse command. She is backed by a lineup defined by serious chops and undeniable chemistry. John Pajot (keys/guitar) and Mark Cahek (bass) provide the rich, tight vocal harmonies that give the band its signature depth, while John Bergeron drives the melody with textured, driving guitar work. Anchoring the groove is drummer Jeff Oscarson, whose percussive backbone ensures the energy never dips below "anthem."
Whiskey Nickel honors the roots of the genre without getting stuck in the past. Whether they are tearing through a crowd-favorite cover or debuting original songwriting laden with grit and truth, the result is the same: a polished, organic, and relentlessly engaging live experience. They are the sound of Saturday night done right.
